With a 2-0 victory over their domestic rivals GOSU (16-13 Inferno, 16-8 Nuke), MVP PK qualified for the WESG 2018 World Finals
The two teams met in the WESG 2018 East Asia final match after MVP PK won the region's first Open Qualifier and GOSU won the second one. The BO3 decided which team would be traveling to China next year, with no advantage given to either side.

The series started on Inferno, where MVP PK kicked off as Terrorist and racked up a huge, 12-3 lead. They didn't look that good on the defensive side, though, but managed to close the map out in the end, 16-13. Then the action switched to Nuke, where Seon-Ho "xeta" Son was dominant on the AWP, finishing the map with 32K-11D, helping his side to a 16-8 win.
